# Signing a document on Omnivoo

> How Omnivoo's signing page works for offer letters, agreements, tax forms and contracts, from the emailed code to your saved signature.

Offer letters, Omnivoo agreements, contractor agreements, tax forms and contracts are all signed on Omnivoo's own signing page. There is no second site to visit. You open it from the email we send you, or from the button in the app that asks you to sign.

## Opening the document

The top of the page says who sent it and what it is, for example **Acme Ltd sent you an offer letter to sign**, with the date it was sent and a short summary of the key terms. The summary is only a guide: the document itself is what you sign.

Before you start, tick **I agree to use electronic records and signatures**. **What that means** explains it: you sign on the page instead of on paper, you get the signed PDF by email, and your signature counts the same as a handwritten one. You can ask the sender for a paper copy instead.

Click **Review and sign** to start reading. You can close the page and come back to it later.

## Confirm it's you

If you are not signed in to Omnivoo, we email a 6-digit code to the address the document was sent to. Paste or type it and click **Confirm**. The code works for 10 minutes, and **Send a new code** sends another.

If you have an Omnivoo account with that email, click **Sign in instead** and you won't need a code. When you open the document from inside the app, you are already signed in, so there is no code.

## Reading and signing

**1. Read every section**

The document is shown a section at a time, with a bar for **How far you've read**. A PDF the sender uploaded is shown a page at a time, and your signature goes on the page they chose.

**2. Make your signature**

Click **Go to your signature** (or **Sign here** on a PDF). Choose **Type** or **Draw**, add your full legal name and, where asked, your title, then click **Use this signature**. Typed and drawn signatures count the same. On a phone, turn it sideways for more room to draw.

**3. Sign**

**Before you sign** confirms you reached the end, agreed to sign electronically and have a signature in place. Click the sign button, for example **Sign offer letter**, **Sign the contract**, **Sign the form** or **Sign all 3**. If you sign for a company, tick **I can sign for** your company first.

We record your name, email, the time and the device you signed from, and whether you confirmed with an emailed code or by being signed in.

## After you sign

If someone else still has to sign, the page says **You signed. Acme Ltd signs next.** When everyone has signed, we seal the PDF so anyone can tell if it was changed, and email it to everyone who signed. Omnivoo counter-signs offer letters and its own agreements, usually the same day.

Use **Download** at the top of the page to save a copy at any time.

## If something is wrong

* **Ask for a change** (contracts only) tells the sender what you'd like changed: the pay, the start date, how soon invoices are paid, or something else. The contract stays open while they look at it. See [Signing a contract you were sent](https://help.omnivoo.com/contracts/signing-a-contract-you-were-sent.md).
* **Decline** asks you to say why. The sender reads your reason exactly as you write it. If you declined by mistake, ask them to send it again.

Omnivoo delivers the document and records the signatures. It is not a party to it and is not a law firm. If you're unsure about anything in it, have a lawyer read it before you sign.

If the link doesn't open, the page says **This signing link isn't right**. Check the email it came in, or ask whoever sent it for a new one.

## Your saved signature

The first signature you make while signed in is saved, so your next one is one tap. You still press sign on every document yourself.

To see or change it, open your profile and go to **Your signature**. Employers open it from the avatar menu, **Profile**. Employees open **Profile** in the sidebar, and contractors open **Profile** from the avatar menu. It shows whether it is typed or drawn and when you saved it, with **Change**, **Make one** if you have none, and **Remove**. Removing it doesn't change documents you already signed.
