# Continuing Identity Verification on Your Phone

> How to finish an identity check on your phone when Omnivoo hands off from your computer.

Some identity checks include a live capture (a quick photo of your ID and a short liveness check) that is much easier with a phone camera than a laptop webcam. When you reach that step on your computer, Omnivoo can hand the capture off to your phone.

## How the Handoff Works

<Steps>
  <Step title="Find the QR code on your computer">
    On your computer, the verification screen shows a **QR code** along with a link you can copy or open.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Scan the QR code with your phone">
    **Scan the QR code with your phone's camera**, or open the link on your phone.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Complete the capture on your phone">
    Your phone opens the capture screen. Follow the prompts to photograph your ID and complete the liveness check.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Return to your computer">
    When the capture finishes, return to your computer. The verification flow there picks up automatically and continues to the result.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## You Do Not Need to Log In on Your Phone

The handoff link authorizes just that one capture session on its own, so it works on a phone that is not signed in to Omnivoo. You do not need to install anything or log in on the phone to complete the capture.

<Warning>
  The link is tied to a single verification session. Treat it like a one-time secure link: do not share it or forward it to anyone. If the session expires before you finish, start the verification again on your computer to get a fresh QR code and link.
