# Adding pay

> Move from Contracts to paying contractors through Omnivoo. The contracts you already signed carry over and nobody signs again.

When you want Omnivoo to collect a contractor's invoices and pay them, add pay. You don't start again: the contracts you've already signed carry over.

## Add pay to your company

Open **Add pay** from the card in your menu or on **Home**. It is three steps, once:

<Steps>
  <Step title="Verify your business">
    Company details, its owners and one signatory's ID. We have to do this before a business can pay contractors. Usually 1 to 2 business days.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign the Contractor Services Agreement">
    Your agreement with Omnivoo for paying contractors. One signature. See [Contractor Services Agreement](/contractors/contractor-services-agreement).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose who to pay">
    Pick from the people you already have contracts with, or invite someone new.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Nothing is charged for adding pay. The monthly fee starts per contractor, when you start paying them.

### Which contracts carry over

The page lists your contracts and says where each stands:

| | |
| - | - |
| **Ready to pay** | Signed by both of you. You can pay this person from it. |
| **After you sign** | They signed, you haven't. |
| **After both sign** | Waiting for their signature. |
| **Your own PDF** | Has no pay terms we can read. It stays contract only. |

### What stays the same

* A contract with no pay still costs \$5.00, or 1 credit.
* Your credits stay on your account.
* Signed contracts stay signed. Nobody signs again.

## Paying someone from their signed contract

A signed contract has a button to pay that person through Omnivoo, for example **Pay Maria through Omnivoo**. Once your business is verified, **Add pay** also shows **Pay them** beside each signed contract.

The page shows:

* **From their signed contract**: role, pay, how often they invoice, how soon you pay and their country. These come from the contract and can't be changed here. To change them, send a new contract.
* **What they do**: open our email, accept the terms for getting paid (including their 1% service fee on what they receive), verify who they are, then invoice you.
* **What it costs you**: the platform fee, and that it starts when they are verified and can invoice, not today.

Click the invite button, for example **Invite Maria to get paid here**. We email them.

<Note>
  They do not sign the contract again. It stays in force as it is, and pay starts once their identity is verified. If their verified name is not the name on the contract, they sign a work agreement instead. See [Contractor Work Agreements](/contractors/contractor-work-agreements).
</Note>

If they say no, nothing changes. They stay contract only.

## When a contractor asks you

Someone you have a signed contract with can ask to be paid through Omnivoo, whether you sent the contract or they sent it to you. You get an email, and the request shows under requests on **People**. For a contract you sent, it also shows on that contract's pay page.

The page shows their note and the same terms and costs as above, with two buttons:

* **Set it up** takes them on, on the contract's terms. It needs your business to be verified first.
* **Not now** turns it down. The contract stays as it is.

For a contract they sent you, the company named in it was typed by them. If it is not your company's name, the contract can't stand as the work agreement and you both sign one instead.
