# Sending a contract

> Write a contract from our contractor agreement or upload your own PDF, pay by card or with a credit, and send it for signature. Drafts save as you go.

Open **Contracts** and click **New contract**. Nothing is charged until the last step, and what you enter is saved as a draft as you go.

## Start

Two choices on the first step:

* **What are you sending?** Choose **Our contractor agreement** or **Your own PDF**.
* **Will you pay them through Omnivoo?** Choose **No, just the contract** to send a contract only. **Yes, contract and pay** takes you to [inviting a contractor](/contractors/inviting-a-contractor) instead, where the contract is included and no card is needed.

## Our contractor agreement

<Steps>
  <Step title="Who it's with">
    | Field | Notes |
    | - | - |
    | **Their email** | The link to sign goes here. |
    | **Full legal name** | Printed in the contract as the contractor. We don't check their ID. |
    | **Country they work from** | Picks the agreement they get. |
  </Step>

  <Step title="The work and the pay">
    Give the role and the scope of work, then the pay as the contract will state it:

    * **A fixed amount**, each week or month
    * **By the hour**, a rate times hours
    * **One project**, a single price

    Then how often they invoice, how soon you pay each invoice, when it starts and whether it ends on a date or is ongoing.

    These are the terms of the contract. Omnivoo does not collect or pay this money on a contract-only contract.
  </Step>

  <Step title="See the contract">
    Click **See the contract**. The agreement is shown section by section with your terms filled in. You can send our standard text as it is, edit a clause, leave one out or add your own. The page says whether a lawyer has reviewed the standard text for that country, and anything you change is yours to check.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review and pay">
    The last step shows who it goes to, the contract, the pay in it and who signs. Then:

    * With no credits, pick **One contract** ($5.00) or **12 contracts** ($36.00), enter a card and click **Pay and send**. You can tick **Save this card for next time**.
    * With credits, click **Use 1 credit and send**. No card is needed.

    Either way you tick a box to agree to the Contracts terms first. **Read the Contracts terms** under it opens them in full.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Your own PDF

<Steps>
  <Step title="Upload it">
    Drag your PDF in, or press to choose it. Up to 10 MB. We keep it exactly as you uploaded it.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Say who signs">
    Their email and name, what to call the contract (shown in the email and on the signature page), and the name you sign as.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review and pay">
    The same last step as above. We add one page at the end with both signatures on it. Nothing else in your document changes.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  Your own PDF is your document and your wording. We don't read it or check it. It also has no pay terms that Omnivoo can read, so it stays contract only if you [add pay](/contracts/adding-pay) later.
</Note>

## After you send

You land on a page that says who it was sent to and what was paid or used. From there you can copy their signing link, send another with the same terms, or go back to **Contracts**.

* They have **14 days** to sign. We remind them twice.
* When they sign, we email you and the contract shows under **Needs you**.
* If it isn't signed, see [what happens to the credit](/contracts/contract-credits#when-a-credit-comes-back).
