# Signing a contract you were sent

> You received an email asking you to sign a contract through Omnivoo. What the link opens, how to sign, and what you get afterwards.

Someone sent you a contract to sign through Omnivoo. You don't need an account, there is no ID check and nothing to install. Signing is free.

## Signing

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the link in the email">
    It works for 14 days from when the contract was sent. The page shows who sent it and what it is.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Read the contract">
    Read it in full. You can download it to read. If something is wrong, don't sign: click **Decline** and say why. The sender is told, the contract is closed for both of you, and they can send a corrected one.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign">
    Agree to read and sign on a screen instead of on paper, then sign on the signing page. You can type or draw your signature. If you'd rather sign on paper, decline and ask the sender to send it another way.
  </Step>
</Steps>

After you sign, the sender signs. When they have, we email the signed PDF to you, and **Download the signed PDF** is on the same link.

## If the link no longer works

A link stops working when the sender cancels the contract, when you decline it, or 14 days after it was sent. Ask the sender to send a new one.

## Keeping your contracts

A free Omnivoo account keeps this contract and any others you sign. Sign in with the email the contract was sent to. You can also send your own contracts from it. See [Contracts for contractors](/contracts/contracts-for-contractors).

## What Omnivoo is here

Omnivoo delivers this contract and records the signatures. It is not a party to the contract and is not a law firm. If you're unsure about anything in it, have a lawyer read it before you sign.
