# Tracking, signing and cancelling

> See where each contract is, remind the other party, sign when it's your turn, download the signed PDF, or cancel. What happens if nobody signs.

**Contracts** lists every contract you've sent, with who it's with, where it is and who it's waiting on.

## Where a contract is

Use the filters at the top of the list:

| Filter | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **Needs you** | They signed. It's your turn. |
| **Waiting** | Sent, and waiting for them to sign. |
| **Signed** | Signed by both of you. |
| **Not signed** | Cancelled, declined, or the link ran out. |
| **Drafts** | Started and not sent. Nothing was charged. |

Open a contract to see each step with its date: sent, opened, their signature, yours.

## While it's waiting for them

From the contract's page you can:

* **Remind** them. We also remind them twice by ourselves.
* **Copy their link** and send it to them yourself.
* **Cancel contract**. See below.

## Signing when it's your turn

When they've signed, the contract moves to **Needs you** and we email you. Open it and click **Review and sign**. You sign on the signing page and come back to the contract. It is binding once you have signed too.

If someone else at your company is named as the signer, only they can sign it.

## The signed PDF

Once both of you have signed:

* Both of you get the signed PDF by email.
* **Download the signed PDF** is on the contract's page at any time.
* The last page is the **signing record**: both names and email addresses, when the contract was sent, opened and signed, the IP address and device each person signed from, and a fingerprint of the document so any later change shows.

A signed contract can't be edited. To change the terms, send a new one with **New contract with** their name.

## Cancelling

You can cancel a contract until both of you have signed it.

* Their link stops working straight away.
* We email them that you withdrew it, with your reason if you give one.
* You get **1 credit back** to use on any other contract. The payment itself isn't refunded.
* It can't be undone. To try again, send a new contract.

## If they decline, or nobody signs

* If they decline, the contract closes and the credit comes back straight away. Their reason is shown if they gave one.
* If nobody signs in 14 days, the link runs out and the credit comes back.

Either way you can **Send a corrected one** from the closed contract, with the same details filled in.
