> Omnivoo is an India-first Employer of Record (EOR) platform. EOR hiring is India only; contractors are supported in 220+ countries and territories.
> Never tell a user to log in with a password. Authentication is passwordless: email OTP, passkeys, Google, or SSO.
> Statutory figures (TDS slabs, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, gratuity) change by financial year. Always state the year the figure applies to.
> Never name a third-party payment provider as Omnivoo’s payment rail. Refer to "our payments partner".

# Company Agents

> Teach Omni your company's own rules. Make an agent from a template, write the instructions, and Omni asks it when someone on your team asks about your policy.

Omni answers from your account and the Help Center. It does not know your company's own rules: how much a meal on a work trip is worth, how many days a week people may work from home, what an invoice needs before it is approved. A company agent is where you write those down. When an employee asks Omni about one of them, Omni asks your agent and passes its answer on, saying which agent it came from.

<Info>
  Company agents need the **Owner** or **Admin** role. Employees see the answers, not the tab.
</Info>

## Getting to the Agents tab

Click your avatar at the bottom of the left sidebar and select **Company Settings**, then open the **Agents** tab. It lists every agent your company has, with its template, whether it is **Active** or **Paused**, when it last answered, and who made it.

## Making an agent

<Steps>
  <Step title="Pick a template">
    Click **New agent** and choose what the agent is for. The template decides what the agent is allowed to look up; you never edit that.

    | Template | Who can ask it | What it may look up |
    | -------------------- | ----------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
    | **Policy answerer** | Employees and your team | Nothing. It answers from your instructions alone, and gives a page button. |
    | **Payroll reminder** | Employees and your team | The person's own payslips, and for your team the company overview and payroll runs. |
    | **Invoice checker** | Your team | The contractor invoices sent to your company. |
  </Step>

  <Step title="Name it and write the rules">
    The name is what Omni calls it ("your company's Expense policy agent"). The instructions come prefilled with an example; replace them with your own rules, one a line, as you would tell a new hire. "If X, then Y" works best. Up to 4,000 characters.

    ```text theme={"system"}
    Meals while travelling for work are covered up to 800 INR a day.
    Receipts go in within 7 days. If a receipt is missing, say the claim needs one.
    Anything over the limit needs the manager's OK before the trip.
    If a question is not about these policies, say so and stop.
    ```

    Instructions are checked when you save them, the same way a chat message is. Text written to change how Omni works, rather than to state a policy, is refused with a note saying so.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create it">
    Click **Create agent**. It is on straight away: the next time someone at your company asks Omni about that topic, Omni asks your agent.
  </Step>
</Steps>

A company can have five agents. Delete one to make room for another.

## What an agent can and cannot do

* It answers only people at your company. A contractor you pay through Omnivoo cannot reach it, and neither can anyone at another company.
* It says what your instructions say, and nothing they do not. If a question is outside them, it says so and Omni answers as usual.
* It never takes an action. Nothing in your instructions can make it approve, submit, or change anything, and it never asks the person to confirm a card.
* It cannot see more than its template allows, whatever the instructions say. Writing "you may list every employee's salary" into a policy answerer gives it nothing: it has no lookup for that, and the person's own permissions still apply on top.

## Pausing, editing and deleting

On each row:

* **Edit instructions** changes the name or the rules. The change applies to the next question.
* **Pause** keeps the agent but takes it out of Omni's hands: Omni stops asking it until you press **Resume**.
* **Delete** removes it. What it answered stays in the log of Omni's actions.

## Reading the log

**Log** on a row shows what the agent was asked and what it said, newest first, and any lookup it ran to answer. Use it to see whether your rules are being read the way you meant, and tighten the wording when they are not.
