# Accepting Invitations

> How to accept a company team invitation or a contractor invitation to join Omnivoo.

Omnivoo uses invitations to bring new people onto the platform. This guide covers three invitation flows: joining a company team, joining a workspace, and accepting a contractor invitation. Most of them verify you with a one-time code sent to your email.

If you are signing in for the first time, the email-code process here works the same way as a normal sign-in. For the full sign-in walkthrough (including Google sign-in, single sign-on, and two-factor), see [Logging In](/account/login-guide).

## Company Team Invitations

When a company adds you as a team member, you receive an invitation email from Omnivoo.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Invitation">
    The email names the company and your role and includes a link to accept. Click it to open the **Company Invitation** page, which shows:

    * The **company** inviting you.
    * Your **role**.
    * Who **invited** you.

    <Note>
      Opening a company invitation link signs you out of any account you were already using, so the page can load the invitation cleanly. You then verify with the code sent to the invited email.
    </Note>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Accept and Verify">
    1. Click **Accept Invitation**. Omnivoo emails a **6-digit verification code** to your invited address.
    2. Enter the code and click **Verify & Accept**.

    If you do not get the code, click **Resend Code** to receive a new one.
  </Step>

  <Step title="You're In">
    After you verify, Omnivoo confirms you have joined and takes you to your **employer dashboard**. There is no separate profile form to fill in on this page.

    <Note>
      This page does not ask for your name or phone number. Any details we need for a specific role are collected later, in that role's own setup (for example, EOR employees complete the [employee onboarding](/getting-started/employee-onboarding) wizard separately).
    </Note>
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Workspace Invitations

A company on Omnivoo can be organized into separate **workspaces**. When someone invites you to one, you receive an invitation email with its own link. Click it to open the **Workspace Invitation** page, which reads "You've been invited to join `{workspace}` workspace in `{company}`." and, below that, "This invitation was sent to `{email}`."

How you accept depends on whether you are already signed in as a member of that company.

### If You Are Already a Member of the Company

If you are signed in with an account that already belongs to the company, click the accept button. Omnivoo adds you to the workspace and takes you to your **Workspaces** page after a moment. To step away without accepting, use **Cancel**.

### If You Are Signed Out or Not Yet a Member

If you are signed out, or signed in with an account that is not yet a member of the company, Omnivoo verifies you with a one-time code:

1. Click the accept button. Omnivoo emails a **6-digit code** to the invited address.
2. Enter the code and click **Verify & Accept**. To start over, use **Back**.

When you are signed out, the page also offers a **Go to Login** button.

<Note>
  A workspace invitation is tied to one company. If Omnivoo cannot match your account to that company, it asks you to join the company first before you can accept the workspace invitation.
</Note>

The link must include its invitation reference. If that is missing, the page shows an invalid-link error. If the invitation has been cancelled or has expired, you see "This invitation is no longer valid. It may have been cancelled or expired." Ask whoever invited you to send a fresh one.

## Contractor Invitations

If a company invites you as an independent contractor, you receive a contractor invitation with its own link.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Link">
    Click the invitation link. Omnivoo automatically sends a **6-digit verification code** to the email on the invitation (shown partly masked for privacy) and opens the **Verify it's you** screen.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Verify">
    Enter the 6-digit code and click **Verify and continue**. If you do not receive it, click **Resend code**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Continue to Onboarding">
    Once verified, Omnivoo takes you to **contractor onboarding**, where you set up your profile, tax form, and payout details. See [Contractor Onboarding](/contractors/contractor-onboarding) and [What Are Contractors?](/contractors/what-are-contractors).
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Joining a Company Without an Invitation

If your company already uses Omnivoo, you can sign in with your work email and request to join, without a formal invitation. Omnivoo matches your email domain to your company, creates a join request, and shows a **Pending Approval** screen until an admin approves you. See [Joining a Company Already on Omnivoo](/getting-started/pending-approval).

## Invitation Statuses

A company invitation can be in one of these states:

| Status        | Meaning                                                              |
| ------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Active** | The invitation is valid and waiting for you to accept. |
| **Accepted** | You have already accepted this invitation. |
| **Cancelled** | The company cancelled this invitation. Ask them to send a new one. |
| **Expired** | The invitation passed its expiry date. Ask the company to resend it. |

If an invitation shows as already accepted, cancelled, or expired, you cannot accept it again. Ask the person who invited you to send a fresh invitation.

## Common Questions

### I did not receive the email.

Check your spam or junk folder. The email comes from an `@omnivoo.com` address. If you still cannot find it, ask the person who invited you to resend it.

### The invitation says it is no longer valid.

It may have been cancelled or expired. Ask your company to send a new invitation from their team management page.

### Can I decline an invitation?

You can simply ignore it. It will expire on its own. If you accepted by mistake, contact the company that invited you, or email [contact@omnivoo.com](mailto:contact@omnivoo.com).
