# Switching Between Your Dashboards

> How to move between the employer, employee, and contractor dashboards when you hold more than one role in Omnivoo.

Some Omnivoo users hold more than one role. For example, you might be a team member managing hires for your company (employer role) and also an EOR employee at another company (employee role), or a contractor invoicing a company you also work with.

Omnivoo does not ask you to pick a dashboard when you sign in. You always land on your primary dashboard, and you move between your roles from the account menu whenever you want.

## Switching Dashboards

    Click your **avatar** at the **bottom of the left sidebar**. The account menu opens upward.

    The menu lists one entry for every other role you hold: **Switch to Employer**, **Switch to Employee**, or **Switch to Contractor**. Each one has a two-arrows icon.

  <Step title="You land on that dashboard">
    You are taken there right away. There is no need to sign in again, and your session stays active across all of your dashboards.

<Tip>
  The switch lives in the avatar menu, not on the page itself. You only see the entries for roles you actually hold, so if you have a single role there is nothing to switch to and no entries appear.

## Which Roles You Can Switch Between

The menu offers the three app roles: **employer**, **employee**, and **contractor**. You see a switch entry for each role you hold other than the one you are currently in. So an employer who is also a contractor sees only **Switch to Contractor** while in the employer app.

Omnivoo support staff have a separate support portal, which is not part of this switcher.

## The Welcome Screen Is Something Else

Just after you sign up, Omnivoo asks **How will you use Omnivoo?** on the `/welcome` screen, with two choices: **I'm an employer** and **I'm a worker**. That is a one-time account-type question that sets up your account. It is not a dashboard chooser, and it does not come back on later sign-ins.

## Common Questions

### Do I get to choose a dashboard when I sign in?

No. There is no sign-in dashboard chooser and no "remember my choice" setting. You land on your primary dashboard and switch from the avatar menu when you need the other one.

### I can't find the role switcher. Where is it?

It is in the avatar menu at the **bottom of the left sidebar**, which opens upward when you click your avatar. Entries only appear for roles your account actually holds. If you expect a role and do not see it, contact your employer or [Omnivoo support](/getting-started/getting-help-from-a-human), since the role may not be set up on your account yet.

### Can I have both dashboards open at the same time?

Yes. Open each dashboard in a separate browser tab. Sign in once, then open a new tab and go to the other dashboard.
