Logging In

This guide walks you through every step of logging in to Omnivoo, including email OTP, Google OAuth, two-factor authentication, and what happens after you are authenticated.

Step 1: Enter Your Email

  1. Go to app.omnivoo.com.
  2. Enter your email address in the login field.
  3. Click Continue.

Omnivoo will send a one-time passcode (OTP) to your email.

tip

Make sure you enter the email address associated with your Omnivoo account. If you are unsure which email to use, check with your employer or the person who invited you to Omnivoo.

Step 2: Enter the OTP

  1. Check your email inbox for a message from Omnivoo.
  2. Find the 6-digit code in the email.
  3. Enter the code on the verification screen.
  4. Click Verify.

The OTP expires after 5 minutes. If the code has expired, click Resend Code to receive a new one.

info

Not seeing the email? Check your spam or junk folder. Omnivoo emails come from @omnivoo.com. If you still do not receive it, wait a moment and try resending -- OTP requests are rate-limited to prevent abuse.

Step 3: Two-Factor Authentication (If Enabled)

If you have two-factor authentication enabled on your account, you will see an additional verification screen after entering your OTP.

  1. Open your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.).
  2. Find the Omnivoo entry and note the current 6-digit code.
  3. Enter the code on the 2FA verification screen.
  4. Click Verify.

If you do not have your authenticator app

Click Use a recovery code and enter one of your saved recovery codes. Each recovery code can only be used once.

Google OAuth Alternative

Instead of email OTP, you can sign in with Google:

  1. On the login page, click Sign in with Google.
  2. Select your Google account from the popup.
  3. Authorize Omnivoo if prompted.
  4. If 2FA is enabled, you will still need to enter your authenticator code.

Google OAuth matches your Google account's email to your Omnivoo account. Both login methods (OTP and Google) work interchangeably on the same account.

After Login: Where You Land

After successful authentication, Omnivoo routes you based on your account roles:

ScenarioWhere You Go
Employer account onlyEmployer dashboard
Employee/contractor account onlyEmployee or contractor portal
Dual-role account (both employer and employee)Dashboard chooser -- select which view to enter

You can switch between roles at any time from the account menu if you have multiple roles.

Session Management

Once logged in, Omnivoo manages your session automatically so you stay authenticated without interruption.

Automatic Token Refresh

Your login session uses secure tokens that expire periodically. Omnivoo refreshes these tokens automatically in the background before they expire. You do not need to do anything -- this happens transparently while you use the app.

Idle Timeout

For security, Omnivoo logs you out after 30 minutes of inactivity. Activity is detected by:

  • Mouse clicks
  • Keyboard input
  • Scrolling
  • Mouse movement
  • Touch events (on mobile)

If you step away and return to find you have been logged out, simply log in again. You will be redirected back to the page you were on.

info

The idle timeout protects your account if you forget to log out on a shared or unattended device. If you are actively using Omnivoo, you will not be logged out.

Tab Visibility

If you switch to a different browser tab and come back later, Omnivoo checks whether your session is still valid. If it has expired due to inactivity, you will be prompted to log in again.

Returning to Your Original Page

If your session expires while you are on a specific page (for example, reviewing a contract), Omnivoo remembers where you were. After logging in again, you are automatically redirected back to that page instead of the default dashboard.

Troubleshooting

I am not receiving the OTP email.

  • Check your spam/junk folder.
  • Verify you are entering the correct email address.
  • Wait 1-2 minutes -- email delivery can sometimes be delayed.
  • Try clicking Resend Code (available after a short cooldown).

My OTP code is not working.

  • Make sure you are entering the most recent code (only the latest OTP is valid).
  • Check that the code has not expired (5-minute window).
  • Ensure there are no extra spaces when pasting the code.

My authenticator code is not accepted.

  • Verify your phone's clock is set to automatic/network time. TOTP codes are time-sensitive.
  • Make sure you are reading the code for Omnivoo, not another service.

I am stuck on a blank screen after login.

  • Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, then log in again.
  • If the issue persists, contact support@omnivoo.com.
