Benefits Administration

The Benefits Administration page gives you a read-only overview of your company's benefits and time off. From here you can see active enrollments, available plans, monthly benefits cost, and a snapshot of time-off activity, then open the plan catalog or the time-off view.

Opening Benefits Administration

The benefits pages are not in the left sidebar. To open them, go to your employer Home dashboard and follow the benefits link, or go directly to /employer/benefits.

The page header reads Benefits Administration with the subtitle "Manage employee benefits and time off". Two header buttons let you move to the detail pages:

Benefits Summary

At the top of the page, four cards summarise your benefits program:

CardWhat it shows
Active EnrollmentsNumber of currently active enrollments, with "of N total" underneath
Available PlansNumber of benefit plans available in the catalog
Monthly Benefits CostTotal employer-side cost across active enrollments this month, always shown in US dollars (USD)
Pending Time OffNumber of time-off requests awaiting approval

These cards are display-only. They do not link anywhere - use the header buttons or the Quick Action cards lower down to move between pages.

note

The Monthly Benefits Cost total is always displayed in US dollars (USD), even when individual plans are priced in other currencies. Because of this, it may not equal the sum of the per-plan costs shown on the Benefit Plans page or in the Recent Enrollments cost lines, which use each plan's own currency.

Time Off Summary

A second row of three cards summarises time off:

  • Time Off Policies - the total number of policies, with "N active" underneath.
  • Days Used This Year - total leave days taken across your team this calendar year.
  • Avg Balance Remaining - the average remaining balance, in days, across your workforce.

Enrollments by Type

When there are active enrollments, an Enrollments by Type section shows a chip for each benefit type that has enrollments (for example Health, Dental, Vision, Retirement, Life), with the count in brackets. Types with no enrollments are not shown.

Recent Enrollments

The Recent Enrollments panel lists the latest enrollments. Each row shows:

  • The employee's name.
  • The plan name, with a benefit-type icon.
  • A status badge. Badge colors follow the status across the page: Active and Approved show green, Pending shows amber, and Cancelled, Rejected, and Terminated show red.
  • An "Effective: <date>" line. When an employer cost snapshot is recorded for the enrollment, the monthly employer cost follows it, shown as "| Cost: <amount>/mo".

The panel has a View All button that opens the enrollments view at /employer/benefits/enrollments. If there are no enrollments yet, the panel shows an empty state that reads "No benefit enrollments yet".

Pending Time Off Requests

The Pending Time Off Requests panel surfaces leave requests awaiting review. Each row shows the employee's name, the leave type, the requested date range and total days, and any reason the employee added. This panel is read-only - it does not include Approve or Reject buttons. Use the View All button to open the pending time-off requests view at /employer/benefits/time-off/requests. If there are no requests awaiting review, the panel shows an empty state that reads "No pending time off requests".

To actually approve or reject leave, use the EOR Leave Approvals page. See Leave Approvals.
