Uploading Your Onboarding Documents
The Onboarding Documents page is where you upload the files required to complete your India EOR onboarding. You reach it from the green banner on the My Documents page, by its direct link (at /employee/onboarding-documents), or as the Documents step of the guided onboarding wizard.
Progress
A Progress card at the top shows how many of the required documents you have uploaded, for example 80% complete, with a progress bar and the note "All documents required for India EOR compliance."
The Four Sections
Documents are grouped into four cards. Each document has its own upload slot with a Required or Optional pill.
| Section | Document | Required? | Files |
|---|---|---|---|
| Identity | PAN Card | Required | Single |
| Identity | Aadhaar Card | Required | Single |
| Identity | Passport Photo | Required | Single |
| Address | Address Proof | Required | Single |
| Banking | Cancelled Cheque / Passbook | Required | Single |
| Employment History | Resume | Optional | Single |
| Employment History | Degree Certificates | Optional | Multiple |
| Employment History | Previous Experience Letters | Optional | Multiple |
| Employment History | Relieving Letter | Optional | Single |
| Employment History | Previous Salary Slips (last 2-3 months) | Optional | Multiple |
For Address Proof, the slot lists what you can use: Aadhaar, passport, voter ID, driving licence, a recent utility bill, a bank statement, or a rent agreement.
Uploading a File
Each slot has an upload button and the caption "PDF, JPG, PNG, WEBP · max 10MB". The button label depends on the slot:
- Upload - when the slot is empty.
- Replace - on a single-file slot that already has a file. Uploading again replaces it.
- Add another - on a multi-file slot (Degree Certificates, Previous Experience Letters, Previous Salary Slips), so you can attach more than one file.
Two multi-file slots ask for a detail before you upload:
- Degree Certificates need an Issuing authority value (for example "University of Mumbai").
- Previous Salary Slips need a Pay period value (for example "March 2026").
If you try to upload without filling these in, the slot asks you to enter the value first.
File Limits
- Accepted types: PDF, JPEG, PNG, and WEBP. Any other type is rejected with "Unsupported file type. Use PDF, JPG, PNG, or WEBP."
- Maximum size: 10 MB. A larger file is rejected with "File exceeds 10MB limit".
Managing Uploaded Files
Once a file is uploaded, its slot shows the file name, a status chip, the upload date, and the file size, along with View (eye) and Delete (trash) actions:
- Status chip - Approved, Pending, or Rejected after your employer reviews the file. A rejected file also shows "Reason: <note>" explaining why.
- View opens the document in a new browser tab.
- Delete asks you to confirm ("Delete ...? This cannot be undone.") and cannot be undone.
Only the latest upload for each document type is shown. Approved documents cannot be deleted -- the trash action is disabled with the tooltip "Approved documents cannot be deleted".
Items Handled Elsewhere
The standalone page also shows two helper cards linking to items captured on other pages:
- Statutory - your UAN / PF Number and ESIC Number are captured on your profile. Click Edit Profile. See Editing Your Profile.
- Acknowledgements - View Offer Letter opens your offer letter, and Investment Declaration opens the declaration form.
