AI Assistant

Omnivoo includes an AI assistant called Omni that answers questions about your employment, salary, taxes, and benefits. Instead of digging through payslips or waiting for HR, you can ask a question in plain English and get an answer based on your actual payroll data.

Omni is one assistant across the whole platform. The same assistant helps employees, employers, and contractors, so wherever you are in Omnivoo you talk to Omni. The examples on this page focus on what employees can ask.

How to Open the Assistant

Click the Help & AI chat button at the bottom of the left sidebar. A chat panel slides in from the right side of the screen, and the page content reflows to make room so you can keep using the portal while you chat. On a phone, the panel opens as a full-screen overlay.

The chat panel header reads Omni. The assistant is available from every screen, so you do not need to be on a particular page to use it. Because Omni knows which screen you are on, you can ask "what does this mean?" about the page in front of you and get an answer about that specific page.

Asking a Question

Type your question in the box at the bottom (placeholder: "Ask about your payroll, leave, taxes...") and press Enter, or tap one of the suggested questions shown when you first open the chat:

  • What's my PF balance?
  • Compare tax regimes
  • How much leave do I have?
  • Estimate my settlement

You can ask in natural language - there is no special syntax. Answers stream in word by word as Omni writes them, so you start reading right away instead of waiting for the whole reply. When Omni uses your data to answer, it shows small "Used:" tags under the reply (for example Latest Payslip, Leave Balance, or PF Details) so you can see what it drew on. When an answer is based on a help article, Omni also shows the help sources it used so you can read more.

What You Can Ask

Salary and Payslip Questions

"What's my PF balance?" Shows your Provident Fund contributions - both the employee portion (your deduction) and the employer portion - along with your UAN (Universal Account Number) and the annual total.

"Explain my HRA" (or any component) Explains a payslip component in plain language and shows the amount on your payslip. Works for HRA, Basic, Special Allowance, PF, TDS, ESI, Professional Tax, and the gratuity provision.

"What's on my latest payslip?" Pulls your most recent payslip so the assistant can walk you through the figures.

Tax Questions

"Compare tax regimes" Estimates your tax under both the old and new Indian tax regimes using your salary and your investment declaration, and shows which one results in lower tax.

Leave Questions

"How much leave do I have?" Shows your current leave balance by type.

Separation and Settlement Questions

"Estimate my settlement" Estimates your full and final settlement, including prorated salary for days worked, leave encashment, gratuity (if you are eligible, generally after five years of service), and the impact of your notice period. This is an estimate based on current data - your actual settlement is calculated by payroll at the time of separation.

Privacy

Omni can only access your data. It cannot see other employees' salaries, leave balances, or personal details. Every query is scoped to your account.

Limitations

For money and tax topics, Omni gives estimates, and you should verify important figures against your official documents before relying on them.

Omni provides estimates and explanations based on your current payroll data. It is not a replacement for official documents. For anything that needs a formal record - tax filing, loan applications, government submissions - rely on your payslips, Form 16, and other official documents in your portal. It also does not have access to future payroll that has not been processed yet.

Getting Help from a Human

If your question needs an action that Omni cannot take (for example correcting a payslip or changing your personal details), it will let you know that support is available through your company admin. Ask your admin to reach out to the Omnivoo team and they will help.
