When a company approves and pays one of your invoices, Omnivoo sends the money to your payout account. This article explains how payouts work, what each status means, and where to find them.

How you get paid

  1. You submit an invoice, and the company approves it.
  2. The company pays the approved invoice by bank payment.
  3. Once that payment settles, Omnivoo pays you to your payout account.
You do not need to do anything to trigger a payout. After the company’s payment clears, your payout is created automatically.
Some contractors are set up on a wallet-based payout method. Instead of an automatic transfer, settled funds land in a per-currency wallet balance on your dashboard, and you withdraw them to your own bank account when you are ready. If that is you, see Your wallet and withdrawing funds.

Before you can be paid

A few things must be in place before any payout can go out:
  • An approved identity verification. You verify your identity with a quick ID scan and a short selfie. Your identity and your address are checked separately, and only an approved identity check is required to get paid, and a rejected address does not hold up your payouts. See Verifying your identity.
  • A signed tax form. Your form (W-9, W-8BEN, or W-8BEN-E) is prepared from the details you gave in the Identity & tax details onboarding step, but you sign it later, from the Sign your tax form task on your dashboard. See Contractor tax forms for which one applies to you.
  • A payout method. You add the account where you want to receive your money from the Wallet card on your dashboard. This is where your payouts land.
If any of these is missing, your payout cannot be sent until you complete it.
Your client also has to finish setting you up for payments on their side. Until at least one of them has, your wallet and any withdrawal report “None of your clients have set you up for payments yet”. This is not something you can fix yourself. It clears once a company you work with completes the setup, so check with them if it persists.

Setting up your payout account

Adding a payout account is not part of the onboarding wizard. Onboarding is four steps: Terms of Service, Identity verification, Identity & tax details, and Documents. You add your payout account afterwards, from the Wallet card on your contractor dashboard, once your identity verification is approved. Your payout country is set from the country on your invite and cannot be changed, so your payout account must match that country. Once your payout account is active, every future payout goes to it automatically. You do not re-enter your details for each payment.

If your payouts land in a wallet

Some contractors receive pay into a wallet rather than as an automatic bank transfer. For those contractors, each payment lands as a per-currency balance you withdraw yourself:
  • Your wallet shows a separate balance per currency, with the amount available now and any amount still processing. Balances are never added together.
  • You withdraw each balance on its own, with its own fee and its own exchange rate.
  • One payout account serves every currency. You do not need a EUR account to be paid a EUR balance.
  • To move money out, you start a withdrawal to your saved payout method and review a preview before confirming.
  • The preview shows four rows: You withdraw, Fee, Exchange rate (shown only when the two currencies differ), and They receive. The preview does not move any money.
  • A withdrawal needs both an approved identity verification and a saved payout method.
For the full walkthrough, see Your wallet and withdrawing funds and Payout methods and withdrawing from your wallet.

Where to see your payouts

Go to the Payouts page from your contractor navigation. Each payout appears as a card showing:
  • The company that paid the invoice
  • The engagement the payout relates to (when available)
  • The amount and currency
  • A status badge
  • A date line that tells you when it was paid, when it failed, or when it was created
If you have no payouts yet, the page shows an empty state. Once a company approves and pays an invoice, your payout appears here.

If a payout fails

A failed payout is final. Nothing retries it automatically, so it will not resolve on its own. Contact support at contact@omnivoo.com so we can look into it and arrange a new payment.
The most common cause is a payout account detail that needs attention, so check that your payout account is still active and correct before you get in touch. The same applies to a payout shown as Reversed.
