You do not have to wait for a company to invite you. If you already work with someone and want to handle contracts, invoices and payments through Omnivoo, you can invite them yourself. This is the mirror of the usual flow: normally a company invites you and sets your terms up front. Here you send the invite, and they set the rate, scope of work and payment terms when they accept.

Sending an invite

1

Open Clients

Click Clients in your sidebar. The page is headed My clients.
2

Click Invite a client

The form opens as Invite your client: “We’ll email them an invite. They set the rate, scope and payment terms when they accept, so you don’t need to enter any numbers here.”
3

Fill in their details

Only the email is required.
4

Send it

Click Send invite. We email them, and the invite appears under Pending invites on your Clients page.
There is deliberately no rate, scope or payment terms on this form, and no numbers of any kind. Those are your client’s to set when they accept. That division is the whole point of the flow.

What you see after sending

The confirmation says one of two things, depending on whether the email already belongs to an Omnivoo employer:
  • They already use Omnivoo: “the request is waiting in their account. Once they accept and set your terms, they’ll show up in your clients.”
  • They don’t have an account yet: “the invite walks them through creating one. Once they accept and set your terms, they’ll show up in your clients.”
If you invite the same address twice, we do not send a second email. The confirmation says so: “You’ve already invited them. We didn’t send another email, your first invite is still waiting for them.”
There is no shareable invite link here, unlike the employer-side contractor invite. Where the invite lands depends on whether that email already belongs to an Omnivoo employer, so a single URL would be wrong half the time. The emailed link is the only way in.

Tracking an invite

Invites you are still waiting on sit under Pending invites on your Clients page, above your client cards. Each row leads with the company name you gave (or the email if you gave none), with the email and how long ago you sent it beneath, for example “finance@theircompany.com · sent 3 days ago”. The badge on the row says which of you the ball is with: Cancel withdraws the invite. It asks you to confirm first: “They won’t be able to accept it. You can invite them again later.” Cancelling does not stop you inviting the same person again. The list only holds invites that are still live. Once an invite is accepted, declined, cancelled or expired it leaves the list: an accepted one becomes a client card below, and the others simply go. If an invite disappears without a client appearing, send a new one or ask them directly.

What your client does

On their side, your request appears as a Requests from contractors card at the top of their People page, showing your name, email, country, how long ago you asked, and your note.
  • If they accept, they go through the contractor invite wizard with your details filled in, and set your rate, scope of work and payment terms. Their final button reads Accept & send agreement.
  • If they decline, they can add a reason. The invite leaves your Pending invites list either way.
If you have not finished your own Omnivoo setup, their card says “Still finishing their Omnivoo setup”. That does not stop them accepting; the engagement simply waits on you. Once they accept, the engagement behaves exactly like one you were invited into: you get a work agreement to sign, then you can invoice against it.
