Omnivoo employs you on our Indian entity and runs your payroll, PF, ESI and TDS. Your onboarding opens as soon as an employer takes you on, and only they can start that. If you signed up on your own, nobody has hired you yet, so there is nothing to onboard into. You can invite your employer and they set your salary and start date when they accept.

The screen before anyone has hired you

Open Set up your account (at /employee/onboarding) and you see No employer has added you yet, with an Invite your employer button. That is the whole page until someone hires you. There is no wizard behind it: your statutory IDs, bank details, documents, investment declaration and offer letter all belong to a job, and you do not have one yet.

Sending an invite

1

Click Invite your employer

The form opens as Invite your employer: “We’ll email them an invite. They set your salary, start date and the rest of your terms when they accept, so you don’t need to enter any numbers here.”
2

Fill in their details

Only the email is required.
3

Send it

Click Send invite. We email them, and the confirmation tells you what they have to do next.
There is deliberately no salary, start date or job title on this form, and no numbers of any kind. Those are your employer’s to set when they accept.

What you see after sending

The confirmation says one of two things, depending on whether the email already belongs to an Omnivoo employer:
  • They already use Omnivoo: “the request is waiting on their People page. Once they accept and set your terms, your onboarding opens here.”
  • They don’t have an account yet: “the invite walks them through creating one. Once they accept and set your terms, your onboarding opens here.”
If you invite the same address twice, we do not send a second email. The confirmation says so: “You’ve already invited them. We didn’t send another email, your first invite is still waiting for them.”

Waiting on your employer

Click Done and the page becomes Waiting on your employer, showing the address we emailed, the company name you gave, and how long ago you sent it. The badge says which of you the ball is with: Withdraw invite takes it back. It asks you to confirm first: “We’ll stop waiting on them. You can invite someone else afterwards.” An invite lasts 30 days, which is longer than most invites on Omnivoo. A brand-new employer may have to sign up, finish company setup and pass business verification before they can act on it, and that rarely happens in a week.

If they decline

You go back to the invite screen, with a line saying what happened, for example “hr@yourcompany.com declined your invite.” If they gave a reason, it shows underneath. The same screen appears if your invite expires or you withdrew it. There is nothing to fix. Invite someone else, or ask them directly.

What your employer does

On their side, your request appears as a Requests from employees card at the top of their People page, showing your name, email, how long ago you asked, and your note.
  • If they accept, they go through the hire wizard with your email filled in and locked, and set your salary, start date, job title and the rest.
  • If they decline, they can add a reason.
Their company has to pass business verification before they can hire anyone. Until it does, the card says so and their only option is to finish that first. That is not something you can do anything about from your side.

Once they accept

Your Set up your account page becomes the real onboarding wizard, starting at Personal IDs. From there it is the same onboarding as anyone hired the usual way.
