Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account. When enabled, you need both your password and a code from an authenticator app to sign in.
Enabling 2FA
- On your profile page, find the Security section.
- Click Enable Two-Factor Authentication.
- A QR code will appear on screen.
- Open your authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password).
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app. If you cannot scan the QR code, use the manual setup key displayed below it.
- Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app.
- Click Verify & Enable.
Disabling 2FA
- On your profile page, find the Security section.
- Click Disable Two-Factor Authentication.
- Enter your current 2FA code from your authenticator app.
- Click Confirm Disable.
Recovery Codes
Recovery codes let you access your account if you lose your authenticator device. Each code can only be used once.
After enabling 2FA, your recovery codes are displayed. You can:
- Copy the codes to your clipboard.
- Download them as a text file.
Regenerating Recovery Codes
If you have used most of your codes or suspect they have been compromised:
- Click Regenerate Recovery Codes.
- Enter your current 2FA code to confirm.
- Click Regenerate. Your old codes will be invalidated immediately.
- Save the new codes in a secure location.
Keep your recovery codes somewhere safe but accessible. If you lose both your authenticator device and your recovery codes, you will need to contact support to regain access to your account.
