Setting Up Your Company on Omnivoo
Before you can hire employees in India, you need to set up your company on Omnivoo. This involves creating a workspace, entering your company details, and completing Know Your Business (KYB) verification.
Step 1: Create Your Account
- Go to app.omnivoo.com and click Sign Up.
- Enter your work email address.
- Check your email for a 6-digit one-time passcode (OTP) and enter it on the verification screen.
- Your account is created.
Alternatively, click Sign in with Google to create your account using your Google work email.
Use your company email address, not a personal one. Omnivoo uses your email domain to automatically detect your company workspace, which simplifies team management.
Step 2: Create a Workspace
After verifying your email, you will be prompted to create a workspace:
- Workspace name -- Enter your company name.
- Company website -- Your company's URL.
- Company size -- Approximate number of employees globally.
- Country of incorporation -- Where your company is legally registered.
Step 3: Enter Company Details
Provide the information needed for legal agreements and invoicing:
- Legal company name -- Must match your incorporation documents exactly.
- Registration number -- Your company registration or incorporation number.
- Registered address -- Official address from your incorporation documents.
- Billing address -- Where you want invoices sent (can be the same as registered address).
- Primary contact -- Name, email, and phone of the person managing the Omnivoo account.
Step 4: Complete KYB Verification
Omnivoo verifies all employer companies before enabling hiring. You will need to upload:
- Certificate of incorporation (or equivalent from your country)
- Proof of registered address (utility bill, bank statement, or government document)
- Government-issued ID of the authorized signatory
KYB verification typically takes 1-2 business days. You will receive an email once approved.
Step 5: Review the Service Agreement
Once KYB is complete, Omnivoo will present the EOR service agreement. This covers:
- Omnivoo's role as the Employer of Record in India
- Fee structure and billing terms
- Responsibilities of each party
- Data protection and confidentiality terms
Review and sign the agreement electronically to activate your account.
What Happens Next
Once your workspace is fully set up and verified, you can:
- Hire your first employee in India using the HireEOREmployee wizard
- Invite other team members (HR, finance) to your workspace with appropriate roles
- Configure company-specific settings like leave policies and approval workflows
You cannot hire employees until KYB verification is complete. Plan ahead and submit your documents early.
