What Is Checked
- Identity. Their name, date of birth and photo against the ID they gave us. We use their PAN. Aadhaar is never needed.
- Court record (criminal). Indian court records searched against their name, father’s name, date of birth and the addresses they gave us.
The Consent
The person signs a consent during onboarding, in the Background check step, before their offer letter or internship agreement. They:- Read what is checked and how their details are used.
- Answer yes or no to three questions: whether they’ve been convicted of a criminal offence, whether a criminal case is pending against them, and whether they’ve been acquitted or discharged in one. A yes does not rule them out. They get to explain, and a case they did not declare counts against them.
- Tick the declaration that their details are true and complete.
- Type their full name and click I agree and sign.
Following It on the Person’s Page
Their page in People shows where the check is:
We email you when the result is in. Once Omnivoo uploads the report, View report opens it from their page.
If It’s Not Clear
The hire goes on hold. Their page says Hire on hold: background verification not clear:- They are left out of payroll.
- Their onboarding is locked, and an intern can’t be converted to a full-time employee.
- Omnivoo will contact you, and the person gets 5 working days to explain.
- You can end the employment now.
